Our Values...

The Phillips Law Offices is a different kind of law firm. We are a small dedicated group of trial attorneys, passionate about helping individuals and families and protecting their rights against powerful interests- whether its a corporate giant or the government.

At the core, we believe that safety and justice is every individual's right.

This includes battling corporations and insurance companies and holding them fully accountable for the harm caused by their insureds. When an insurance company fails to meet its obligation to the insured, fairness demands that they be held accountable- and justice demands no less.

We pride ourselves in fighting tirelessly for ordinary people. Unlike some lawyers who change sides, we are proud that we have neverrepresented insurance companies (and their pocket book ) against hard working families and individuals. We strive to treat each client as a family member, to give personal attention and the best courtroom representation we can provide.

Our philosophy is simple: as individuals, we each recognize the duty to exercise personal responsibility in our daily lives, and we recognize our duty to hold ourselves responsible for any harm our actions may cause our neighbors.

Apparently, the Supreme Court has said that Corporations are people too ... no different than individuals - that they have the same rights as the rest of us. Well, if that is true..... then along with those rights, they must have the same responsibility - to act as their "brother's keeper" so to speak, respecting the rights and safety of their fellow citizens and to truly "be a good neighbor".

Americans certainly recognize and appreciate the fact that insurance corporations usually fulfill those responsibilities in an exemplary fashion. After all, business works best when everybody benefits. We also appreciate the role that insurance companies play in allowing individual members of society to share one-another's risk, to spread the risk, thereby providing protection whenever one of us suffers a tremendous loss.

However, all too often, individuals and corporations fail to fulfill this moral imperative. Many times, insurance companies put profits ahead of their responsibility to the people they insure that in good faith have paid premiums, and the individuals that may be injured by them. Some companies have discovered that they can make more money by simply paying out less on legitimate claims. In these situations, individual consumers can find themselves pitted against rich and powerful insurance corporations determined not to accept the personal responsibilities that naturally accompany personal liberty.

Our philosophy is simple: As good citizens, we take personal responsibility for our actions in our daily lives, and we recognize our duty to hold ourselves responsible for any harm our actions may cause our neighbors. Unfortunately, when someone is seriously hurt because of no fault of their own, often times they find large insurance companies put profits ahead of their responsibility to the people they insure, who have in good faith paid premiums to cover their negligent actions. When this happens we are here to help.
